Tips Up Fishing Adventures offers guided Fishing Charters, (sight seeing and wildlife observing)
The owner-operator-guide is Tom Poulton, a resident and fisherman of the Sunshine Coast for 35 years. Tom has been in the guiding business for 25 plus years.
The skipper has the SVOP, SDV-BS, Marine First Aid, Fatigue Management and has taken the C.P.S Boating course through the well recognized Canadian Power and Sail Squadron. The vessel was also registered in the SVCP and has been approved through Transport Canada as commercial passenger/work boat.
The vessel provided is a Bayliner Trophy 20’6” walk around fishing machine with bibbonny top, and cuddy which seats and fishes up to four very comfortably. The boat comes fully fueled and has all the required safety equipment including a VHF radio for which Tom has the required Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (M) and the vessel is registered with MMSI.
The boat is moored in Halfmoon Bay during the Summer and on a trailer for the Winter and Spring. The boat and owner are fully insured for chartering Fishing Charters: All fishing gear and bait for trolling, jigging, mooching along with crab and prawn traps are on hand. Catch of the day may include Chinook (King) & Coho Salmon, Dungeness & Rock Crabs, Ling & Rock Cod, Red Snapper, Prawns & Shrimp, Clams & Oysters. Your catch will be cleaned, iced and packaged to your liking for transport.
