October Fishing 2026
Updated: Oct 9
While the bottom fishing has come to an abrupt halt you can still drop crab & prawn traps and fish for the late run coho and Chinook before they take the spawning journey. To top it off the feeder Chinook will be showing up and multiplying. Great news is that many of the Chinook I caught recently have been undersize and clipped. Looks like the rain is holding off and any fish migrating to their spawning grounds will hopefully pool up near the rivers and creeks mouths. Last Saturday I caught a nice coho at the mouth of Chapman and released an even bigger unclipped coho at Trail Island. If you are interested in testing the fishery I am availabe on weekends until the end of December. MY availability will increase in January.
