June 29 - July 4 Update

On the 29th I was out alone and landed a 18lb white spring on the herring teaser at 100’. Tips Up took three groups out during this time period. There were trips to Sangster where the Coho have arrived. Lots of action but they rattle the lines and disappear once they feel the hooks. I did manage to get two hatchery to the boat and a few unclipped. Nothing showing for Springs yet. There has also been plenty of cod fish and crabs to share. On the 4th , I cancelled my trip due to the high NW winds but went out to try and retrieve a lost crab trap. The trap recovery was unsuccessful but I thought seen as I am out at Epsom I will drop a few lines. After about one hour I managed to get into a 14.5 lb red female spring at 140’ on the wire on the lime green coyote spoon.
